Bodybuilding Legend: Frank Zane
Frank Zane was proportioned and defined at under 200 pounds, and had a career that exemplified persistence. His was no meteoric rise to the top. After 10 years of working out, he won the 1968 IFBB Mr. America and IFBB Mr. Universe titles, handing a loss in the Mr. Universe contest to no less a body than Arnold Schwarzenegger.
His career finale was represented by fourth place at the 1983 IFBB Mr. Olympia, check out this video from the 1983 IFBB Mr. Olympia.

Zane was even better in 83 than he was in 80 and 82. He looked incredible here.

Nobody else had so many trademark poses. Today's pros could learn a lot about presentation from Frank. He only got 4th in this, his last, Mr O.

I think that he was giving some advices to Lee Labrada, and that is highly possible, because Lee was also a magnificent poser. In my opinion Frank Should be third that year, Haney was not so well balanced as Frank.

LOL. He was referring to when (in Pumping Iron) Arnie tells the camera that its not hard to give Franco the wrong "advices".

His body is in perfect condition and everything balanced not huge.I think if he had the '82 song and posing routine he'd have been placed in better position.He promoted the beauty of the sport,nowadays posing and music are aggressive and bodies are King Kong size.Even the posing attitude is changed,everybody has a look "biceps in your face SOB with no respect"
