Test labs for NCAA, WWE bidding for Texas program

If you've ever been to Odessa, Texas on a Friday night you can understand why this story is a big deal. The two biggest money makers in Odessa are Oil and High School Football. The curse of this is that money changes the game. Just look at all professional sports. It isn't about the game any more and guys are getting sloppy. Barry Bonds is all over the news for his steroid use and now two different professional wrestlers have gotten on the front pages of papers across the nation for, giving steroids a bad name.

So if you think that kids aren't using steroids, think again. That's why there is a huge deal in the works for steroids testing companies right now to test all the high school athletes in Texas. There's one thing about steroids I don't agree with and that's giving them to kids. The average teenager make is already over run with so many hormones that he doesn't need a Test booster. Let the kids grow up then, when their body can handle it let them decide for themselves. So here's a little excerpt on the article I found:

DALLAS (AP) - Companies that do drug testing for the NCAA and World Wrestling Entertainment are vying to run the Texas random steroids testing program.

A total of 14 companies have submitted bids to operate the 2-year, $6 million legislative mandate.

The testing of some 23,000 high school students is expected to begin this fall.

Harvey Graves with Houston-based Pinnacle Medical Management calls it "the mother of all steroids contracts." His company is among the bidders.
